I love anthologies, especially zombie anthologies, but they are not all created equally. Some promise flesh eating fun, but MANY deliver out of print stories or other such gems that either read horribly dated or in some cases have absolutely nothing to do with zombies. Living Dead 2 doesn't cheat the readers. The Skull Face City, Are You Trying to Tell Me This is Heaven, Danger Word...these are just 3 of the stories that had me looking at the book's cover & wondering "Where the hell do these people get their ideas?". Some stories are whimsical, others harsh & vulgar while many are simply sad & filled with a person's desperation in trying to survive in a world taken over my walking corpses. There are several author's names you'll recognize on the front cover, but many more who you will look for after sampling their handwork. A must have for zombie lovers!

Some stories are better than others, which is expected, but the book kept me interested throughout. Four more words required.
This book corrects the major sin of its predecessor, in that the stories are pretty much all about zombies of one form or another. There is a definite post-apocalyptic tone to the entire anthology, and there are a lot of great stories in there. Overall I enjoyed this anthology a lot and actually read more than three quarters of the stories in it without skipping them, which is more than I can say for its predecessor.

The anthology is not perfect though. There are still a few "weird" stories that were just too weird for me to the point where I skipped them over, but like I said, this time they're in the minority, thank God. There are a few stories as well whose endings left me thinking the protagonist was a complete and utter idiot for giving into the zombies the way they did, but, that's more of a personal taste as I myself can't envision ever giving up, so I can't really relate to such actions, but that's not really a reflection on the quality of the story or the writing.

Overall this was a very good anthology and if you are a fan of the zombie or post-apocalyptic genre then this would be a fine addition to your collection.
There were some hits and misses throughout this collection of zombie horror. A few I loved, a few I disliked and a few that were a bit confusing and hard to read. All in all, for the price, I was happy with the purchase if only for the handful of really decent short stories I enjoyed.
I love this and the first volume. I definitely pick and choose my stories out of it, but that just means there's something for everyone, you may not like all of them and that's okay!
I've nearly finished this collection of zombie-themed short stories, and with the exception of one so far, I've really enjoyed each quick read! I think they've been more realistic (as much as zombie stories could be), because the "good" guys don't always win.
Why not all five stars? There is something wrong about publishing a edition of an anthology of short stories - especially in 2015 when the format is far from new - and not including an interactive table of contents either in the front (good) or the back (not as good), so you cannot jump to the story you want to read next instead of following front to back order. Please add the table of contents to the file and make the update available to those who already purchased the edition.
I enjoyed all the stories except the last two. Really great read before bed. Not all the stories are your typical zombie stories so I enjoyed that.
